My Reflection
I am happy with our product. I like the idea we went with and it solves a relevant problem in our lives. The problem we wanted to solve was the inability to use a mouse on a laptop on the go. Our product adequately solves the problem and it is unique to other products on the market. I was a little disappointed with our prototyping. Our mock-up to organize the features of our design was messy and looked like it was just thrown together, and our actual prototype ended up breaking. Luckily it was only because the 3D printing plastic was weak, we would still be able to go with the same design. Another plus was that the prototype was still able to show a slightly more accurate model of what our final product is expected to look like. I also would've liked to have run through the final presentation after last minute changes, but due to some miscommunications toward the end of the project, we were unable to. It impacted our performance on presentation day, but I still think we managed to do well. The judges gave us a pretty high score and gave us many positive comments. I'm proud of our whole project. One of the last things I heard the judges say was "When will it be on the shelves?" That's when the project really felt like a success.
The whole engineering program has been so beneficial for me, and I'm so thankful. It's hard to believe the whole four year course and my time at Worcester Technical High School is over. It was a fantastically productive run, and I'm so happy for the opportunities I was given and seized in order for me to achieve greatness.

My Partner Camden's Reflection
"Overall, the project went pretty smoothly, especially compared to some of the other groups. There were only a few times where I felt really frustrated with our project (although I'm sure it was a lot more for Chris). I think the Capstone Project was a really good experience, because we had to handle everything on our own, and it kind of helped get me ready for the real world. I'm sure, however, in the real world I won't be able to procrastinate as much. I think it may have been cool to do a more interesting project, but our's was simple and easy so I didn't mind that. Also, it was too bad that we could not come up with a complete working prototype more similar to a the product we would sell in the stores, and it sucked that the prototype that we printed from Inventor broke. I feel bad for Chris, since he was my partner, and I'm impressed that he was able to go the whole project without visibly getting angry/frustrated with me. It feels weird to know that I'm finished with engineering and WTHS. Overall, I think it's a successful and useful course, and I am glad I took it. '
